SEAFOOD KITCHEN
WELLS NEXT THE SEA

Plattens Seafood Kitchen sits on the quay at Wells-next-the-Sea, with harbour views to match what’s on the plate. This family business has been on the Quay since 1966, and serves MSC-certified sustainable seafood, carefully sourced and cooked simply so the fish gets the attention it deserves. They are also an accredited Living Wage employer, because good food starts with a team that’s looked after. For Norfolk Restaurant Week, come and enjoy the North Norfolk coast at its best: relaxed, unfussy, and very much worth the drive.
To Start
Brie Bites: Golden, crumb-coated brie that melts in the middle, served with a sharp cranberry dip on fresh salad leaves.
Beer-Battered Onion Rings: Thick-cut, crisp and generous, with a smoky house dip
Thai Fishcake: Flaked fish with lemongrass, chilli and fresh coriander, served with sweet chilli sauce on fresh salad leaves
Mains
Norfolk Crab Salad: Fresh dressed crab on crisp leaves, with new potatoes, lemon wedges, brown bread and butter.
The Plattens Burger: Choose crispy battered cod or chargrilled halloumi, in a toasted brioche bun with tartare, lettuce beef tomato slice and chips.
Baked Hake: Flaky, sustainably caught hake baked with a Caper & Gherkin butter, served with buttery new potatoes and peas
To Finish
Ice Cream: Locally made scoops. Ask for today’s flavour
Affogato: Vanilla ice cream drowned in a shot of hot espresso. Simple, and it works
Chocolate Brownie: Warm, gooey and properly rich, served with vanilla ice cream
