The Dann family has farmed over 600 acres in the village of North Tuddenham in the heart of Norfolk for four generations. The farm has two organic, free range poultry sites and one dairy unit with a herd of 400 Pedigree Holstein cows.
In 2007, the Dann family did something quite unique by venturing into making their own luxury dairy ice cream using fresh milk, cream and eggs from their farm. Combine these with locally sourced and fresh ingredients, their venture has grown and gone from strength to strength allowing them to now proudly present a delicious range of luxury ice creams, sorbets, ice lollies, Dairy Free Ice Cream and Ice Cream for Dogs.
The ice cream is made two minutes down the road from the dairy and poultry sites at Pound Farm, in a specially converted farm building over fifty percent of the main ingredients are sourced within a 1km radius of the manufacturing area. Dann’s are committed to using as much sustainable energy as possible and currently source sixty percent of their energy from on-farm solar panels and wind turbines; with the aim that by 2028 they will be almost completely self-sufficient for electricity requirements.
